BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tat Old Man & the C Vs. regular release
I love the culebra (the C), but the the Old Man sucks. How is it possible? Is this not the same blend as the legendary Tat Black PL? What happened? The first release of the PL was superb. The full lancero in the Old Man package is a different animal. No complexity. Some flavor, but waaaaay sub... -

Glad to hear it :). Can you offer a mini review? I think it's on the sweet side, but the complexity is really the clincher for me. I detect a predominate nutty flavor and some oak. -

Aquitaine?
Podman just sent me a fiver of Acquitaine Anthropology, and I loved it. I had an Acquitaine in a different vitola a while back and hated it. Go figure... I'll buy more Anthro, no doubt :) -
Cigar misconceptions
My impression of DPG stuff has always been that his blends are always his own stock because he has so many resources. I think the regular Cab line is one one of the best mild nc cigars out there. -

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm curious to know what you guys think... I have several bottles. If someone wants me to ship a bottle at my cost, I'll do it. I'll need to get a wine shipping box, but that should not be a big issue. -

I respectfully disagree, Craig. The distinction is more pronounced with the cojonu blend, imo. But you know more about cigars than I, so maybe I'm full of shit :) lol -

Pretentious? I dunno about that, Eric. It's a question meant to create conversation on a cigar chat board. It ain't a big deal. I've looked into my humi in the past and wondered which one I'd choose if I could have only one. Great thread. -
