• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Any OSI fans out there?

Office Of Strategic Influence. Prog rock band. Anyone like them? It's similar to Porcupine Tree. I have all of their extended library on CD and I rip it to a thumb drive to listen while I'm smoking on the patio. Some of their stuff is hard to find, so if anyone wants me to ship a CD for ripping...

    Roach-klip: Tatuaje The Mummy

I smoked one today and I can say that this is a superb cigar (limited Monster Series experience). I think DPG and Johnson save their best stuff for this series. Although I thought the mini Mum was mediocre. I'll try to get monsters in the future for sure. Thank you for the fine review. I...

At what point did you believe that you went from a newbie to a smoker of experience

People who participate in online forums like BOTL or Cigar Asylum generally know more about cigars than I do. Many of the people I know from my local shops don't chat about cigars online and their knowledge is more limited, in my experience. I brought a Mummy into one of my locals last night and...

    Davidoff Colorado Claro?

Thanks guys. I'm gonna spank a fiver of the figurados from cmac and the boys. I think I'll add a fiver of PDR 1878 to push it over the $100 mark for free shipping. Gotta love Emerson's :)

Aging Room Small Batch M356 Presto

What a bummer. I once had an Onyx Reserve that tasted sorta like gasoline. But nothing is as putrid as rotten egg

    San Lotano Maduro

I love the shape of these and the way they smoke. The oval shape is the perfect shape for a cigar. The draw on the couple that I smoked was fantastic and I wondered if the oval had anything to do with it or if it was just well-made in general - or both. Nice review

At what point did you believe that you went from a newbie to a smoker of experience

I'm a still a newb (6 years and counting). Cigars are a pleasure and a diversion, so it's different from a job (although I do like my job). I wouldn't want to be a newb at my job after six years, but cigars? No prob. :)

    Roach-klip: Headley Grange

I need to buy some nutmeg at the grocery store and eat it since I'm not sure what it tastes like. Perhaps it's one of the flavors in cigars that I like but can't describe? Another great review :) For the record: The 5 vitolas that we'll be launching (HG) in Mar/Apr are as follows...

Choose one cigar for rest of life

    Padron 1964 Principe. $8 each x 365 = $2920.00 per year. That'll work. And I can buy some new shoes, too. :)

    Padrons and age

I buy one box of Padron 64, 26, or FR at a time and smoke them within a few months (4 on average). They lose flavor with time in my experience.

    WWII Kamikaze bat bombers

This is bizarre.... Copied from the website LiveScience: In World War II, the U.S. Marine Corps worked on a project to train bats as kamikaze bombers against the Japanese. A Pennsylvania dentist, Lytle Adams, first proposed the idea to the White House in 1942, after visiting the bat-filled...
