BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Cigar IPA?
Im actually amazed they did this after Cigar City has been doing the Humidor Series. I brewed a blood orange IPA once that I aged on spanish cedar from Liga Privada boxes. I wasn't crazy about it but the backstory was badass. -
flavor vs. nicotine content
Body is a mouthfeel description generally referring to how thick the smoke feels. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with nicotine but it does seem fairly dependent on the tobacco strain itself. Now flavor and strength do have a connection. The more sun the leaf gets the stronger and... -

Still too wet to really let the flavors open up but the aromatics are very impressive. Like a mix of maple and salted caramel. -

I think I'll keep doing what works for me. I dont get paid for any of this, I'm not asking anyone to judge the aesthetics or technical merits of my cigars, and they smoke more than fine. FWIW my entubado technique isn't by the books either. I figured out a while ago brewing my own beer not...- HIM*

Homebrewers - Whats Fermenting?
I used WLP400, pitched cool and let it hang in the 60s for the first 2 days then let it ramp up to 75 on its own. Ester profile came out perfect, lots of tart peach notes. No bugs, sour mash, or sour worting just 88% lactic acid from AHS @ 1oz per gal added right to the keg. The tartness isn't... -
