  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    For some reason the For some reason, the Platino Lancero is better (more complex) than the other regulars in the Platino / Oro line, imo. And the red/black 50 50 is great.

    The wrapper looks a lot like the VSG wrapper, no doubt. The taste is somewhat similar as well. I wonder if it's the same Fuente sungrown wrapper with different filler...

    I smoked my first DCM today (#5). Very impressive! Nice and smooth with complexity. These don't get much love from what I've seen on forums. Is that because of the price? ...or did I just get lucky and smoke a good one? The label is a bit clownish, but we all know not to smoke the label, so...

    Onyx (a big black topredo). My buddy told me it was a premium stick. He also told me that Tompson's Cigars is the best place to buy more :)

    I use Sennheiser PX100 on-ear phones with Pandora and my netbook. They sound great but they don't make them anymore. Also use the Total Bithead usb DAC. Nice sound

    Horrible PSD4 Experience

    The only PSD4's that ever did it for me were the aged sticks with 4 or 5 years. I smoked one last week that was rott and it tasted like, um, smoke. :)

    I agree on the price, although I just bought it as an add-on to a box of Tats that I got from Cbid. I think it was $9 or so. I would buy again if they were 6 or 7 bucks.

    I smoked one of these tonight and it was great. I wonder about the claim by Camacho that they use Cuban tobacco in the blend. Wouldn't they have to have a heck of a lot of pre-1962 tobacco to make a production cigar? The one I had tonight was very tasty, but I didn't detect any resemblance...

    These are what got me into nic puros and tats in general. I need another box. Most tats taste best when fresh with a little rest...these are better after two years, imo.
