    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Don Carlos Lancero Review

    I had one of these at Casa Fuente a while ago - along with about 5 mojitos :). The wrapper on the lancero appeared darker than a typical Don Carlos...I asked the guy if it was a lancero maduro. He said nope, they all look like this. It may have been the mall lighting? Good smoke.

    I found an El Centurion in the bottom of my humidor last week. Smoked it. Damn fine cigar. I had forgot all about them for nearly two years. Pepin is great.

    Main Factor You Consider When Purchasing A Cigar?

    I chose trusted brand/reputation because that's step one. I'll wait to hear about the cigar from botl reviews, if possible. The problem with that is some great cigars sell out almost immediately and if you wait, you're SOL (Skull & Bones :)).

    Nuts is my favorite, followed by citrus. Pepper is nice as long as it's not overwhelming.

    The problem that arises after you smoke your first Tat is that now it will be harder to smoke and enjoy many of the lesser nc cigars. At least that is what happened with me :ccowboy:

    Another dog, another surgery

    I have a Rott, too :). Best dog I've had, ever! I'm not sure about the cost of the ear surgery - haven't had to do that one. But I don't think it will be nearly as expensive as most other canine surgeries involving the trunk or limbs. I wish you - and the pooch - well :wink:

    When I first got into cigars about three years ago I switched from 65% beads to 70% (and back again a little later :))...had the same problem you described with swelling and cracking when the humidity increased.

    This is exactly my rationale for smoking 90% nc and it wouldn't change much regardless of the embargo...Aged Cuban cigars are unique and generally fantastic, but the Tats, Padrons, and Viaje "off the truck" are just too convenient - and wonderful! :inlove:

This stick sounds good but it is just way too large for me to enjoy on a regular basis (2.5 hours for a smoke is just not in the schedule as often as I'd like).     What movie are you watching or watched?

    True, the story-line is gay as hell, however, seeing that movie in 3D on the big screen was one of the very best cinematic experiences of my lifetime. Unreal.
