  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    What movie are you watching or watched?

    I saw the remake of Clash Of The Titans on BluRay last night. I thought it was great. Not sure why it gets a bad rap from some. I also saw the original many times. They are completely different and equally enjoyable. The Kraaken in the new flick is the bomb!:)

    Avg price of your daily smoke?

    Probably about $6 per stick for me. One cigar per day Monday through Thursday. Typically a smaller cigar like a Noella or an Angeles. On Fridays I usually drink booze of some sort which means I smoke 3 or more cigars, usually more expensive types like Opus or Cuban Cohiba.

    About half of my cigars are Nics, 25% Dominicans, and the rest are Cubans and everything else. Good poll idea! ..

    Thanks for the review. I like these too :) They routinely sell for around $10 each at c-bid and are worth it, imo. Not sure I buy the whole pre-embargo thing, but regardless, they are tasty cigars..

    OPUS X Reserva D'Chateau

    Nice review! I enjoyed an X petit lancero yesterday. It was not as powerful as some of the larger Opus X's I've had in the past. A lot is said about the Opus X, both good and bad. It's always an interesting cigar for me.

    If I hear more than one bad review, I give pause before buying. After that point, it's a matter of "how full is the humi?" and "how much cigar cash is available at the moment? :)

    Purging...

    Like many others, I will purge if I detect some bitterness. If I'm smoking a bad cigar (happens occasionally) I will purge frequently just in case it happens to help. It can't hurt, right? :)
