• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    La Aurora question

The "regular" La Aurora robusto with the cameroon wrapper (the one in the OP's photo) is a mild and great-tasting inexpensive cigar, IMO. Cigarbid regularly sells them for $9 to $11 per fiver...the best cigar value I've seen so far. Actually, I've never had a bad La Aurora. The Black Label...

    Bored Stiff

Your cigar list is impressive and way beyond what I have, but I would recommend the Tats :). Smoke 'em if you got 'em! Great cigars. Edit: Looking at your list, I realize what a newb I really am :).

    Cigar Tins

I've never tried cigarillos, but I have three brands of handmade small cigars in my modest cooler. Padron Corticos, Cohiba Black Pequenos, and Partagas Black Pronto - all come in tins of 6 and all are the same size (approx. 4 x 36). Each of them tastes good to my novice palate, but the Cohibas...

    noob storage question

I got a response to my e-mail to Drew Estate. They say store them together, but the rep also claimed that it's ok to store Acids with regular cigars...so, I have to question the usefulness of that info. I'm going to store some of the less-fragrant Naturals with some regular stogies (I'll...

Thanks Kelly, I'm just gathering opinions and I appreciate yours. I actually sent a "customer service request" to Drew Estates and I have not heard back yet.

    noob storage question

Thanks Jay. I was a little confused because the Natural Elixir 5-50 tasted sweet to me - like an ACID.

    noob storage question

I have given up on ACID cigars - too sweet, but I really like the Natural line by Drew Estate. I know that ACID cigars, for the most part, are "infused," so they should be stored separately from normal cigars. My question: Should I also store Natural brand cigars in a separate container? The...

San Diego desert rat checking in..

That sounds just like something I'd do. But have no concerns, fellow BOTL's, I would much rather smoke a cigar than read about one :)

San Diego desert rat checking in..

Thanks for the welcome. I'm a bit of a history buff, so I tend to look for interesting facts and then expand from there. In this case, I read somewhere that JFK's humidor was sold at auction for some insane amount. I Googled "humidor" and went from there. The history of cigars, including the...

Hi folks, My name is Dave. I live in the desert East of San Diego. I'm new to cigars, but really enjoy them - every aspect of the hobby. I actually came to stogies in an odd way...I became interested in cigar history last year and read extensively on the subject. I only started lighting up about...
