  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    You don't still have the beads in there right? And I know you said your hygro is calibrated, but when did you calibrate? If the battery starts to go bad that can affect the reliability of the hygro. Have you tried the flashlight test to confirm your seal?

    You aren't guaranteed to get beetles at 74 degrees, but there is SOME risk at that temp. I wouldn't get overly worried, but if you can find a better place in the house definitely move the humidor there. As has been said, basements are typically a great place. Though really, in MN, I wouldn't...

    Hehe, very true knife, but a glass top makes the flashlight method difficult. :wink: In all seriousness, you can tape a piece of paper over the top of the lid to cover up the glass and it should work fairly well.

    OK, that's two: Fresh50 and Pharmgator. Saturday sounds like it will work out best for all involved. Jon (Pharmgator) doesn't get off of work until 8pm on Friday which would make any get-together fairly late. Let me know what you guys think of say a 2 pm get-together? I can do later...

    I voted 1/2 inch, but it's probably more like just under an inch. When I have trouble holding onto it and I can't get more than one puff before it gets way too hot, I get rid of it. That probably covers 90% of my smokes.
