I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
The true answer has already been said....to keep the wrapper from unraveling. The triple cap is the most sought after because it maintains the integrity of the strength to keep that sucker from unwinding like a barber pole. One still needs to make the right cut and not cut off the entire cap...
I got into this yet another "vice" of collecting snifters and glasses for my booze....why does it seem to give our libations a better taste in a glitzy glass? When on vacations I'd either pick up a nice glass with the inscription of where we visited or I'd get a shot glass and now I have so...
Since these damn hurricanes are happening Im reading about cigar supplies being compromised and that means my beloved Opus is going to be hit or miss. Gonna smoke a 15 year old one tonight...I'm about as excited as a tornado in a trailer park.
Probably because I travel all around the US...have at least 30 Owners and Managers who tell me about the Industry and from their friends who own B&M's. The anti tobacco lobby is still a threat and there are more closings than openings. Just to open a B&M requires contracts from brand...
Pics or it's a fairy tale. As long as you buy something from the place you're sitting down they don't give a crap. People walk in and out of McDiddys all day long using their restrooms and never buy anything...so this is a bit suspect but humorous.
This is a subject that comes up from time to time and there are always conflicting thoughts. At the end of any day the Shop sets the rules and the tone and as a consumer we can either do business there or take it down the road. B&M's already have a problem with sales so to have a policy that...
Welcome....used to live in KC for 10 years when I was working. Lots of good Cigar Shops around the city but I miss the BBQ. Maybe you can send a Care Package to me.....Gates> Combo 1/2...BB....fries and yammer pie!
Library/Study....you'd think she'd let me smoke inside....but nooooooooo!
4 patios on the back of the house...Master Bedroom...Kitchen...2 other bedrooms
Buyer Beware when in ANY port of call in the Caribbean or Mexico. Buying cigars there is like taking a trip to find a Rescue Animal to take home...you have no idea what you're getting and it's almost ALWAYS bad.
Had not heard about this place but based on the picture alone and their reputation on Yelp and Trip Advisor....might have to make the drive over. My BIL ( dickhead that he is ) used to live in Mandeville but there's no reason for us to go there....unless I can't exorcise the photo of that...
Oh for the love of Central Grocers or Anthonys.....is that where you ate? And you didn't get me one? Did you get there before noon or did you get in that long a$$ line? That muffaletta is to die for....I could print that out and eat it!!!!
Esplendidos....I have 3 boxes that I've aged in consecutive years from 2000 -2003 and they smoke amazingly well. I smoke one from each box about twice a year since 2010 and kept em at 65% RH the whole time. They are worth twice what I paid and wouldn't hesitate to age these suckers from any year.
Relax yourself....I did read the article...and Pete didn't identify ALL of the cigars so when you tell a story ALL facts pretty much need to be given. I don't know Pete...he may be a great person but some of the things he says aren't factual because of his own prejudice. As far as the...
I"m sure Pete might allow this to go into his brand but I've been smoking cigars since Pete was in diapers...stems and stuff like those in the picture do NOT belong in cigars. How is it that Padrons, Fuentes, and a host of other don't have that size of tree limbs in theirs? Pete is not a Cigar...
