Welcome Aboard! I lived in Dunoon back in the early 90's before the US Navy pulled out of there. Rode the USS Simon Lake back, it was sad to go, I left behind some good friends. Anyway, Cheers Mate, smoke a good one.

Just another bumb to keep this on top. Less than a week out, I know there are more south florida brothers, so if you want in just speak up. So far my group who are not on the board has BOTL outnumbered so it's still a good sized group and it will be a wild party I'm sure.

I'm smoking a Headline Clear Havana from the 1950's. Great sweet thick smoke. Last one of these I've got and special for me since this is the cigar that started my special 40th birthday weekend if anyone remembers it.

I keep playing with the idea of taking my prized boxes and mounting them to the wall of my porch where I smoke close to the ceiling to look at, but I'd hate to see the weather destroy them over the years. Don't ever see myself with a walk in, but that would be sweet even if most of the boxes...

I have some boxes that I just can't part with like ones signed by the big guns in the industry, or cool boxes like the Frank and Drac. I also have some nice boxes that I could part with, but don't know what to do with them, like an empty SW Maddy box, or a clear havana box over fifty years...

Keeping it cool is as much about controling an outbreak as it is about preventing one. If you get a bettle or two they are likely to much on a few cigars in one small area of your humidor and lay thousands of eggs in those cigars. If those eggs don't hatch, and you throw out, freeze or smoke...

Good flavor, but burn issues pop up now and then. They are a cuban sandwich not a short filler smoke. Ambos is a better value IMO though.

If you haven't tired them yet, the vacuum seal bags are great for this, dont suck out so much air it crushes the cigars, but just holds them firm. Will all but eliminate splits and damages. Leave them in the bag through the defrost as well, and then just crack open the bags to let them start...
