I'm with you on that. I'm still hopeful. Truth be told though, I've voted both sides of the isle and still will. Let's see if his charm has substance?

    what does it mean when

I think I'm sticking with my original guess that it's where the tobacco folds. Looks a bit like tinly worm holes in the ash that were not there when you lit the cigar? Take a close look at the patern of tobacco in the foot next time and see if this may be it.

Are you talking about an even unlit donut around the cigar on one spot near the edge only?

    what does it mean when

I think it's usualy where the filler got folded to make the shape of the cigar. Different rollers bunch up the tobacco differently, some fold in a Z, others make more of a back and forth folded fan shape, some even roll the leaves in a spiral. I think it's just a fold that landed on the outside...

Who likes mild and full cigars?

Just curious about the range of smokes people like. I like a full Opus every time, but I also like mild cigars as long as I smoke them at the correct time like first smoke of the day and not after a heavy or spicy meal. I'm a 2-4 cigar a week kind of guy and it's rare I smoke more than one in a...

So what should go in the bar...

Depends on who your friends are. I started with the variety assortment, but most everyone who comes to our house drinks the margarita's the wife makes or one of about three other things. We've got twenty bottles that don't get touched more than once a year at best. I'd say start with a couple of...

    Your Favorite cheap Port?

There may be some truth in that, but I can't afford to be both a cigar snob and a Port snob.

    age old question [randomness]

I have to say the experience makes the cigar. I have never had a truly great smoke where the situation didn't add to it. With friends is always great, but it dosn't have to be with people for me. Some of my favorites are watching the sun come up alone in my back yard with Coffee in hand or late...

    Your Favorite cheap Port?

I find more and more that Port is my go to drink with a cigar and I'm lookin for sugestions that are under $15 a bottle but still good. I've got some really good Port for special occasions, But I'd love to find a good port for closer to $10. Any recomendations?

    Opus X Robusto.

Last time I was in Naseau I found one cigar store with real cigars in it over at Atlantis that had triple the price of what I'm used to on everything. And twenty cigar shops near the port with cases full of boxes of fake cigars. I walked around the deck of our cruise ship that night and the...

    Just another Pelican Case?

I Second that on the Acid and if you can swap in open cell foam you'll get much better humidity regulation in there. Very cool, I hooked up on one of those that used to have a PVS-4 in it back in my day. Should have kept it, can't remeber what happened to it.

    RIP Partagas 150 Series B - 3/8/09

I had some back in the day when they were peaking and loved them. Now I still think they are very good, but you have to do them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to make them worth while. I've had cigars from at least four different boxes and they all aged the same way. These were...
