I have a box of VR clasicos from 00 and a box of JL #1 from 01. I have never experienced a plug issue with either. I would love to grab a box of anything from 1998. I have heard great things about that year in general. The vendor I use doesn't have a box before 00 so I guess Im out of luck.

CVM is that for draw reasons?

Just wondering if there is a particular year you search for in aged cubans. Are there specific years you stay away from?

I definately have tasted cigars that had a floral or perfume taste. I agree it is unpleasant. Wish I could help you with finding the source of that flavor.

I really don't think I gave these cigars a real chance. I smoked one very expensive Opus and didn't like it. I guess I was opinionated over the smoke with only one exposure. I do have a hard time spending more on a NC than a very good cuban.

I really like the RASCC. The first few 05 Partagas Short I smoked left me disappointed. I will say that after a little rest in the humi they are growing on me.

I totally agree with you about the Reyes. It's the only Cuban I have smoked that I wanted to toss.

First, it's awesome that you have a great relationship with your FIL. Sounds like you are very generous. Have you asked him which is his favorite churchill? Maybe he will give you the answer. If you are planning on just buying a box the SLR's are smoking superb as an 05.

My wife is home when the mail runs so she knows all the packages I get. I have never put a cash value on the boxes and she doesn't ask. Of course, she's trying to get that nose job she has always wanted. So, it all works out.

I got a new humi and went kind of crazy trying to fill it. 7 boxes in 2 months. I think I'm set for awhile so I won't be ordering anytime soon. Hopefully, I can wait until the fall.

There is nothing like a well aged cuban cigar. Now, if you are talking the 05's I think the Davidoff Cru #2 is close to RYJ's in overall enjoyment.
