• I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back

Your favorite cigar, All things considered

If I could choose one cigar, that is readily available (falling under the "all things considered" criteria), I'd go w/ a Liga Privada T 52 Toro. If I could choose a cigar that no longer exists (thereby ignoring the criteria....which has it's own merit), i'd go w/ the Tatuaje West Coast Verocu.

    Cigar and Brew

I've seen the Older Viscosity where I buy the regular Old....but it's like $15.99, and the bottle is quite a bit smaller. That's a tough sell, but I'd imagine it must be pretty damn great. That must make the Oldest like $20+ a bottle?? One of these times I'll bite the bullet and grab one...

    Cigar and Brew

Coincidentally....I too had a Rogue Chocolate Stout tonight. It was excellent....as was the Bear Republic Big Bear Stout that followed it! The most recent best cigar/beer experience I've had....this past Saturday....Port Brewing Old Viscosity, and a Tatuaje Reserva SW Maddie. That pairing...

    Favorite IPA??

Thanks for the advice Adam....I'm not a member, and I didn't realize there was a forum, but I guess I should've assumed there was. I can see the bias thing playing a factor, which is why I prefer to taste stuff myself...I simply use it as a guide to point me in a direction. That said, when it...

    Favorite IPA??

These guys don't seem to think so, although I will keep an eye out for it as I love trying new stuff. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/273/751/?sort=serv&servT=8&start=10 http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/147/4083 I find myself using beer advocate more and more as a resource for...

    Favorite IPA??

The best one i've had in a while.....including Ballast Point Sculpin, RR Blind Pig, Port Brewing Hop-15 and High Tide etc....is Stone Ruination IPA. It's amazing. Any hop-lover out there who may have been interested in trying Russian Rivers Pliny the Elder, but was unable to find it....just...

    Viaje Holiday Blend 2010

Totally spaced the Exclusivo Nate...my bad. Never got a jar of the OR, or bought the New robusto, but did get some DES, so I shouldve remembered. The DES was damn good IMO, excellent even, but of the few jar releases I smoked, those are even better. They were tremendous cigars though, so the DES...

    Viaje Holiday Blend 2010

Spoken like a true lover-scorned Nate....LOL! I don't think the 50/50's are considered LE's, in the annual release sense...the Reds maybe, but didn't think that was the case w/ the Black...but I'm not certain of that. Are both 50/50s not available/HTF?? Another note.....I find it funny...

    Viaje Holiday Blend 2010

Having been a fan of Viaje myself, I see Andre's game plan a tad more optimistically. I see him treating his LE line, a lot of which I enjoy, as a pseudo "regular" release...in that they're going to be done annually. That's a novel approach IMO, and I kinda dig it. Perhaps that's b/c this is one...

    Opened the SW Maddy

I shared the same sentiment as Costa here about the SW Maddie....it's was awesome. I never got on board when they were 1st released, so can't speak to how much it's "lost", but it was definitely not a pepper/spice bomb. Just a very excellent, extremely flavorful and smooth cigar. I actually...

    Favorite Christmas Beer?

The winners: Holiday/Seasonal: Full Sail Wreck the Halls IPA: Stone Ruination IPA blew the others outta the water! Stout/Porter: Old Viscosity hands down winner.....even when competing against Deschutes Brewery "the Abyss"... If you drink any of those "winners", u should be plenty happy...

Smoking a la verite Churchill right now....

Really glad to hear you're enjoying this stick so much. A hybrid boris/tat black?? I certainly didn't get that w/ mine.....but I'm damn sure hopin' I do with the next one I smoke...LOL!

    Just picked it up today!

I've seen some of the carnage you've unleashed on others Jack....something tells me your stash ain't far off. I just might've had a little head start is all....but I fully intend on slowing down, so you should pass me up in no time bro!

    Just picked it up today!

I sprayed them last night....(albeit VERY lightly as I was concerned about this method as well). I let the drawers dry out over night before I put the cigars in there this morning. From a previous post I'd read that came from Chuck himself....sounded like the seasoning of these drawers...

    Just picked it up today!

Said I'd post a few pics, and here's how she turned out. I'm pretty happy with it (to put it mildly). A single before pic, and a few of the after in the original post.

    Favorite Christmas Beer?

Haven't had the Youngs DCS yet....but this is on deck for me tomorrow ://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/132/1118 Gonna do a little Mini Micro Brew Fest w/ some friends (Costacoug being one of em'). Gonna sample some IPA's, Stouts, and Holiday/Seasonals. Pretty sure we'll smoke some great...

    Favorite Christmas Beer?

Whadda y'all like? Saw a thread for Christmas drinks, and thought us beer lovers might be able to share some good ones. Been drinking a bunch of Sierra Nevada Celebration this year, and truly loving it. Currently drinking a Ninkasi Sleigh'r Double Dark Ale.....pretty good, but not...

I really need some advice brothers!

Fairly certain any cruise, the term "all-inclusive" is only going to include food, and not booze....and I've been told the booze ain't cheap. A cruise would be fun I suppose to visit different cities and what not....but give me an all inclusive resort, with 5-7 restaraunts, fridges in your room...

    Vino Storage Conundrum

Thanks....I had a hunch that might be the case, but I didn't want to take chances w/ the smokes I had to leave in there. Next question is how long should it take for the 4 double drawers and 2 cedar shelves to become seasoned?? A couple weeks, a month? I know there's no exact timeframe...
