BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Adventures in home rolling
So I just moved and now have a new home rolling challenge to overcome. Previously my ride to work was 25 miles, 45-50 minutes. I can roll cigars that I like for that time frame. My new ride to work is 13 miles, maybe 25 minutes. I adjusted a blend down to .5 volado, .5 t13, and .25 ligero. Still...- Jim D

Answers will vary. Some live in a climate that is perfect humidity, some have climates too dry, maybe some have it too damp. I store mine in the bags and boxes they came in, bags taped shut. If the need added moisture to roll without crumbling, I'll spritz the leaves I'm using (not the whole...- Jim D

The inspection is to protect the buyer. To ensure a seller doesn't have a buddy write up an inspection report, it's on the buyer to get it inspected. The lawyers should search title history, ensuring there are no liens against the property. I wonder if the seller got swindled 6 years ago and...- Jim D

Blending Thread
Today's blend was my mellowest ever. 1 Piloto Cubano Volado 1 T-13 Viso .5 Nic Condega Ligero Bound with half leaf WLT Dominican binder Wrapped in Ecuadorian Seco. This was smooth and mellow right off the table. Plenty of smoke production, just mellow.- Jim D

JR Alternative Cigars
Long ago I bought a 5er of JR Alternative cigars. Didn't enjoy the right off the bat and they got buried in my humidor. A year passed by and I stumbled on these 3 JR cigars so fired one up. I enjoyed it so much, I bought a bundle to let them hibernate in the bottom of my humidor for another... -

Today was a two-fer: The first has CTBL filler leaf used as a wrapper. It brought a bunch of pepper to a blend that is normally mellow. The second was almost a year and a half old. It was smooth as could be.
