  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Schip cigar tax passed today?

    I read that the max will be 40 cents a stick. The original bill was to be $4.00 a stick! Retailers are gonna have to pay the tax for every cigar in their inventory.

    Please pick me two cigars!

    The Santa Clara is actually a pretty good Mexican stick, but I would go with an Opus X Forbidden X, San Cristobal Monumento, or Ashton ESG 21 year Salute. Special celebrations call for special cigars.

    I have my man cave in the basement, and that's the only place I smoke in the house.

    Sometimes 2-3 a week. On vacation 3-4 a day, because the wife and I try to get together with my best friend and his wife once a year, and he's a cigar nut like me.

    Gentleman Jack for anytime ... Jack Single Barrel for special smokes and occasions.

    Xikar and Palio for all smokes except LFD Chisels, then I use a generic punch or v-notch.

    I'm losing the fight against wetness.

    Gotta watch out for those glass top humi's. You could have a leak from where the glass meets the wood. Did you properly season the humi before placing smokes inside. Make sure your humi is away from heater vents or anywhere the ambient temp fluctuates alot.
