• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Opus Lost City release

I just got word from Tobacco Grove that my sampler has shipped. Anyone else had a chance to smoke these? I'm still very curious about these and was hoping for some more reviews. I also rented the move for the weekend just in case they come in and I'm in the mood.

    Tat Verocu (red) Tubos......

Split wrappers are usualy caused by the outside of the cigar and the inside of the cigars trying to be two diffirent sizes when thier humidity even out and the inside is winning. Rapid changes in humidity or temperature can set this off or make it worse. If it's happening to this many cigars...

What is the one stick that got you hooked

don't know what the name of the cigar was, but I was playing pool in a bar, George was on the radio singing "Bad to the Bone." I got hooked on the good times that come with cigars, long before I found or got hooked on good cigars.

    New 2010 Tatuajes...

The one shop releases that are a diffirent blend like the T110 I like, because I think we are Pete's testing ground and I like trying diffirent stuff, but a standard blend that is a little shorter or longer is not something I'd chase. As far as tired of it, Naw, the one shop releases haven't...

    Striped wrappers on cigars

They are called barber poles and are not rare, many makers had done them like the Fuente Between the Lines. Does not make for a good or bad cigar, it's mostly gymic IMO. Beware of the cheap barber poles though, they are usualy making a bad cigar look good.

    Heckler and Koch....

You did good, I've shot dozens of diffirent HK's and the only one I didn't care for was the old P7 Squeeze Cocker. If the USP you got is anything like the one's I shot in the service, you'll love it.

Son turning Eighteen, the big 18, wants a cigar

I think any time you can find a way to further bond with your kids is golden. As far as cigars being a vice, your son is 18 and it's time to remove the bubble wrap so he can grow on his own, and if you are lucky he'll come back for advice now and then, maybe over a good cigar. My .02

Should a LE ever be made standard production?

I largly agre about the access to good cigars and good tobbacco is a good thing. But that isn't what I'm talking about, Fuente has a lot of great Opus and some HTF's that are special blends. But will an Opus shark really taste diffirent than a Super B or No.2? Same blend, same wrapper, almost...

Should a LE ever be made standard production?

Fuente has gotten me thinking. We've all seen HTF LE's go at auction for crazy prices. We often save and cherish our HTF's even if there is a production cigar very close in size and flavor. So is it OK for Fuente or anyone to take their rare cigars and mass produce them with the same band...

    Need recomendation off Excaliber

Thanks all, the Hemingway Maddies sound like a great idea, dosn't have to be the same price point, it's for a present.

    Need recomendation off Excaliber

I've got a friend who has a friend who smokes the Excaliber Maddies for a daily smoke. My friend wants to get him somthing nice but we want to stay close to what we know he will like, so what's a step up from a HdM Ex Maddy, but match some of the flavors. I haven't had one of these in years...
