• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Smoking at Work

I work with several guys who also smoke cigars. When the weather is nice, we'll sometimes go outside under some big oak trees and have a robusto during lunchtime. It certainly makes it tough to go back to work though, especially on Friday afternoons.

    Expensive Cigars

Paid nearly $70 a few years ago for two CCs while traveling in Canada. I believe one was a Monte and the other a Cohiba Maduro 5. They were either fake (doubtful) or kept in less-than-perfect condition, because both of them were like smoking dogsheet.

    Tatuaje Outlaw?

I wasn't impressed with it back in September, but only have a few details to share. http://blowingsmoke22.blogspot.com/2011/09/tatuaje-outlaw-2010.html

Eric Newman, President of J. C. Newman Cigar Co.

Looks like they may have just wrapped up the Red Carpet events.. http://www.jcnewmanonline.com/home/index.php/media/calendar.html These perfectos are not the same as the ones paired with the Opus X. I'll try to get a few photos of them up here.

Effects of RH when smoking outside?

Makes sense. (and explains why my Undercrown split today in the 40 degree weather after having been in a cozy 65/65 for a month) It was awesome anyways though.

    car smoking?

Precisely this! Been doing it for years with much success. The dryer sheet idea is new to me, but I'm going to try it. Leather seats seem to help too since they absorb less.

OPINION: LP no. 9 or T52 Robustos or Toros?

They are both great cigars, but while I typically prefer earthy over peppery, I find that the T52 is my favorite of the two. As for sizes, I enjoy both the toro and the robusto. Difficult call, but I'd probably decide based on how much time I have to smoke. For a few bucks less, the...

Eric Newman, President of J. C. Newman Cigar Co.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Eric Newman. Really down to earth guy with solid family values. I was lucky enough to be invited to do a video interview at my favorite hangout in Northern Illinois, Neumann's Cigars & More. Fans of Diamond Crown, Julius Caeser, Brickhouse, Quorum, 59...

    New Opus X

I'm smoking a Heart of the Bull right now. Peppery and bold at 1/2" in. Cigars & More (Libertyville, IL) has them for $14.05 (with free membership) plus about $2 tax.

    Cohiba Sublimes - LE 2004

jjon90 - great image, thanks! As tempted as I am to gut the thing for a photo op, I'm also half tempted to use it as a lawn mowing stick.

    Crowned Heads Four Kicks

Just picked up my Four Kicks over the weekend. I look forward to smoking it and... 'flowering' everything up with obscure flavor descriptives. Hehe, I kid, I kid.

Has anyone else heard that Tim Ozgener (formerly CEO of CAO) is behind this blend?

    Undercrown Toro

Good info - I'll leave my Undercrown at 62-63RH or so for at least a few weeks. JD - I love, love, love the T52. I really hope these become easier to find in all vitolas. So far, I've had the Flying Pig, Robusto, and Toro.
