• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    why are cigars capped ?

Im glad I Ifound this thread since I was wondering to about why cigars had caps and found this article that basically said that cigar caps are purely aesthetic which is obviously not the case described in the thread. http://www.michaelbunker.com/demystifying-cigars-busting-cigar-myths/

    Expert help needed.

I know you said no latakia but have you tried Dunhill Durbar? I am an avid latakia fan and love nightcap but decided to try Durbar and its not nearly as heavy on the latakia as nightcap but provides a nice smoke not nearly as heavy on the nicotine or the room note although I've never smoked it...

    Finally got the deep cut....

I've never used a V cutter, my current favorite cutter is the cuban crafter perfect cutter, love it but am a bit curious what the V cut offers as an advantage to a straight cut? Does it have any effect on the structural integrity of the cigars?

    AB Black Market Vandal

I've been interested in trying this cigar since I'm an Alec Bradely fan and really enjoy full bodied spicey smokes like 601s La bomba. Unfortunately it seems like only a couple sites carry these and they want about 8 bucks a stick and the sites that have them are CI, PaC and cigar.com all of...

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

I do have a couple herfadors that I use to dry box some sticks for the week. Its just sometimes I dont take out enough or I decide by the time the weekend comes I want something thats still in the humi. I went with 65 bovedas to be able to smoke straight from the humi since I dont store sticks...

Thanks! I'll stop worrying so much now. I just hate smoking wet sticks and dont always have the time to dry box.

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

Oo so you think they didnt get over charged being in the tupador with 50+ possible high humidity sticks and are actually still giving off 65rh? The reason I figured they were over charged is the one reading 67 read 73 on a salt test and the one reading 71 read 77 on a salt test. I know the salt...

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

I just realized that the reading from the bag was the same as from the empty lock&lock so atleast I know they are accurate in that sense. Unfortunately I dont have a fresh Boveda to try so next time I do I'll check again.

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

This was the result of having both hygrometers in a ziplock bag for over an hour. I just want to thank all you guys for all your responses, this is a pretty awesome community, I need to visit more often, especially now that I'm getting more and more into this great hobby.

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

Yea Im in the same boat right now, Im in Boston and its been wicked humid here lately. Once winter comes and the I turn my forced hot air on though hopefully it will help keep the room humidity down allowing some humidity to escape. Ive noticed that with CI and their sister site...

Is it possible for Bovedas to be over charged?

Thanks! I have both hygrometers now in a ziploc with a boveda, now is it possible that a never recharged 65 boveda could give off more than 65? My original thought when I put 2 65 packs in one tupadore was that if they are both 65 then they wont over humidify and will just make them last longer...
