• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    What causes this?

I am towards the end of an Empress of Cuba habano and heard a cracking sound while taking a pull on it. I looked and the wrapper leaf had split. It had been an absolute perfect smoke until that point, it had been store at 65% rh for a few months prior to smoking. Im guessing maybe the filler had...

Snap-on Butane Torch Pictures and Video Review

I have been on the hunt for two things lately. 1. a butane torch lighter not made in China and 2. An awesome table lighter. I had to give up my search for a butane torch lighter made in the USA since they do not exist after Zippo discontinued the Blu which most have said wasn't a great lighter...

I'm too cheap to buy a RabbitAir

I watched some reviews on the rabbit air since i enjoy smoking inside. Its just a fan with multiple filters. So doing what you did made the same.product much cheaper, maybe noisier with no sensors but who cares. My solution is to just put a box fan in my window and put it backwards to exhaust...

    ZippoBlu

The zippo blus have been discontinued, they sold the trademark to blu e zigs. I honestly want one for the simple fact that I love zippos and its the last torch flame lighter made in usa. Did the store have any Blu2s in stock? Id love to try one.

    Alec Bradley Burner

Can anyone upload a video of them using the burner to light a cigar? I picked one up and think its wicked cool but cant seem to light a cigar easily with it like a torch. I've only lit maybe 3 or 4 so far and am trying different techniques but so far cant nail down a way to get it to perfectly...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

I never suggested that my palate was superior to anyones. I don't believe anyone who has posted here has actually said they were able to pick up flavors of a "residual infusion" either. Only one person responded to have cigars that "smell bad".

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

Well while you guys continue to talk smack I will continue my experiment based on facts not theory. Who knows maybe I'll come back in a year or two and say you were correct. As it currently stands roughly 4 months into the experiment your theories remain just that.

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

The answer is no as per the results of my on going experiment. If you wish to conduct your own experiment with your own unbias results please do so. At one point in time people also thought the world was flat, until it was proven otherwise. I proved your opinion otherwise, your only evidence to...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

I think its relevant to my argument, why would someone have a cigar they hate in their humidor in the first place? If you hate acids dont put them in your humidor. If you smoke acids and they are already in your humidor, dont be affraid to put other cigars in there as well. If you hate acids...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

Totally agree, I only compared cigars to chips because they were compared to penicillin, I was speaking tounge and cheek. For someone like you who I believe has stated has never smoked an acid cigar its a complete biased opinion. I tried to form my conclusion unbiased by being in the group who...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

The cigars in question were described as ruined but never even smoked, so how do we know they were ruined? My guess is they were more likely ruined like most cigars that are kept by non smokers, poor humidification and occasional air exchange rather than being 'ruined' by being stored with an...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

An experiment done by someone else with no control and documentation is no experiment. I did my experiment with two of the same exact humidors, documented the time frames and actually smoked the cigars. You didnt smoke any of the cigars or know of how well they were cared for. My parameters...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

The sides of the spectrum here just prove that what everyone has is an opinion with no evidence to back it up. One person says that a cigar cannot pick up the flavor of something else without being in a vacuum sealed environment and then theres someone who says two cigars in cellophane will pick...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

This is an open forum and you're welcome to your opinion and to also conduct and document your own experiment. People can take the experiment I did for what its worth and see the time frames of my results. I will continue to do the experiment and if after several years my conclusion changes I...

[Experiment] Infused cigars stored with traditional cigars

[UPDATE] 2/3/18 Black market vandal Nov14 placed in infused humi smoked on Feb 3, slightest smell of acid on the cello, otherwise no effect on the cigar I have so far come to the conclusion that storing cigars while still in their cellophane with infused cigars will not contaminate them. I...

    STG BUYS THOMPSON

Well this isnt good. I used to love pipesandcigars when i was primarily a pipe smoker, it was like a neighborhood tabacco shop but online with their on blender and great customer service then CI bought it and it went down hill. I have used thompson more than any other site for cigars, I am a...

    Your home smoking area.

Wow more power to ya. Must get some good looks from the neighbors lol. I just put a box fan in the window in reverse and call it a day, if any smell lingers the following day I light a candle. Once I started smoking inside I started hating smoking outside.
