• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Coolest car you have ever gotten to drive

My favorite was a Hummer complete with auto grenade launcher and gecal 50 gatling gun. Even the 68 Vet L88 I drove is a distant second to that.

    trading Cubans?

I'm not gonna over night them but I'll get them to you. I've sent cigars to India, Hong Kong, Dubai, I think I can handle London. Anyway, no worries on the postage, I got it.... really no worries. Don't know customs on your end so you could get stuck with taxes. Offer stands if you want a sampler.

    How Old is Too Old???

You shouldn't care. There are no guarantees in this world, you can plan your retirement, buy your house, get your promotion and get in a car accident tommorow. Find someone who is good to you, the rest will work itself out.

Broke seal on 90 year old box!

I've smoked some great cigars in my day, and burnt my fingers and tounge on more vintage cigars trying to get just one more puff out of them than anything else. I don't know why you think this, but I differ.

Broke seal on 90 year old box!

Wow, so many responses, where do I start. First, as some of you figured out I got this prize off Ebad for $75 from a seller with zero feed back and a no return policy, so it was a gamble. I contacted him and asked some key questions, like does dust come out of the box, does it seem solid...

Broke seal on 90 year old box!

I purchased, or should I say gambled on a sealed box of 1919 Clear Havana's. With a sealed box you have no way of knowing if the cigars have been distoryed by beatles, dried and cracked to dust or if you are lucky, are good smokable cigars. If they were trashed I paid a lot of money for...

    Pre-Castro Cigars

You are right, I didn't understand. I thought people were implying that US House blends might have Cuban leaf in it.

    rH for long-term storrage?

The accepted belief with vintage buffs is as close to 70% but not over. Much lower humidity and the aging process is slowed down, Over 70% and you risk mold growing. I use a humidor at 65-70% for my regular smokes and smokes under ten years old that I want to age, and another at 60-65% for...

    Pre-Castro Cigars

I don't know about anyone sneaking Cuban tobacco into cigars and not telling us about it, but from conversations I've had with people in the cigar industry, I don't think you can get any leaf out of Cuba in quantity or quality to matter, so I'd say it's likely rare if it happens at all. There...
