• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

They hate us. :( This and the Trinidad RE just makes me shake my head. :( Awesome review, Art!

    Odd Palate Problem

John, just went through the exact same thing last week. Sadly, it hit me on a few very good smokes, ruined them in my opinion, to me it's not enjoyable. Took several days off, and that seemed to clear it up.

    Cigars with a citrus zing?

Por Larranaga Montecarlo (CC) has the more citrus than any other smoke I've ever had, by a fair margin.

    July 4th Smokes

It's my favorite holiday as well, usually spend a ton of money on fireworks leading up to it, but not this year. My work day will start at 1400 and end 0400 the next day. Might get something in before work, but probably something very short. :(

    Orlando, FL Cigar Shops

I went to Sosa at downtown Disney, and was completely unimpressed. Didn't even buy a single, which is rare for me.

    Partagas D, E and P

I wish they would work on their quality, because Parti's are some of my favorites, but paying for half a box of plugged cigars is disheartening.

    Weighing options

Oh, ok cool. Well, I would go to a rental range and let her shoot a ton of different handguns, of all different types. From a snubnose revolver to a full size 1911, see which one she likes out of the bunch and then go from there. Obviously, there are the normal choices, Glock, M&P, Ruger SR9c...

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45ACP, which has a 3 1/2" barrel. Felt recoil is even less than the 9mm Glocks I've shot, and it's accuracy and trigger put them to shame. The furthest our pistol range goes out to is 50 yards, and I'm keeping my shots within the black at that distance, which...

Guess what I forgot to bring.

If you ever get the chance to go, do it! It's not as touristy as the bahamas or hawaii, much more rugged. We loved it though, planning on going back sometime. The water is wonderful, the people are super nice and the beaches are amazing.

Guess what I forgot to bring.

Stability is a good thing in the scary reptile waters where you live, lol. Only time I've been in an ocean kayak was when my wife and I took one out in Fiji. I was surprised how stable it was, I had always heard they were similar to river kayaks, but not at all. We were wave riding by the end...

Wow, Curt, even without the cigar it sounds like it was a hell of a day! Like the setup you have too.
