• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Let's see how you store your cigars.

What gram weight and RH are the Boveda packs? It looks like you have two, 60 gram packs that I can see in the photos. Are they maintaining the humidity where you want your cigars kept?

    Worst customer service online retailer

For the business, in most cases, answering phone call is the highest cost per transaction method to do business. Yet, many still think it is ok to respond to an email within 24 to 48 hours is good customer service. Most customers find the timeframe unacceptable. After waiting, the customer...

To run a fridgador or no?

The temp in the fridge has to be maintained above the dew point of the room it is stored in. If your dew point temp is at 65 degrees the fridge temp has to be above 65. Otherwise, there will be condensation every time the door opens and when to take cigars out and expose them to room temp.

To run a fridgador or no?

I get the point, but like you, my experience is I usually end up spending more money and effort starting small and cheap. I always end up tweaking things and changing. It seems you never buy big enough.

I should have read the other messages on the thread before commenting before. Instead of glass you might consider clear acrylic. You can work with it more easily than glass. Look at the Boveda humidor as examples on how build an acrylic humidor. I’m not sure too many people have developed...

Wow, being from Minnesota, I knew right away that was probably of Swedish origin. If not Swedish, then from the country just to your west. I really like the rosmålning on the inside lid. On the front, is that carved or more painting. It’s hard to tel from the pic. Keep us informed as you...

Let's see how you store your cigars.

I finally took some pics of my wood humidor. I had some time today to rotate the cigars. I recently changed beads for all Boveda. I put in two, 320 gram packs on the lid. The dry winter air was sucking the humidity out faster than the beads could put it out.

    My lounge planning thread

I think the rule-of-thumb is for every 1,000 BTU of propane burned, about 1oz. of water is produced each hour of usage. A 30K BTU unit will add 30 oz of water into the room air per hour. The actual calculation is based on the amount of propane burned per hour to produce 1,000 BTU.
