  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Depends on how spicy the cigar is. Retrohaling is a must, imo, it truly opens up the flavors of the cigar...without retrohaling I believe you're getting a small fraction of the overall flavor profile, specifically in delicate smokes like Habanos.

    It amazes me how many ways our government manages to screw up the economy, hopefully this one won't get through so one of the few industries that manages to have a lot of B&M stores stays alive.

    The absolute best deal, imo, is H.Upmann Epicures. What a flavorful little smoke at a ridiculously low price. RASS, RASCC and Por Larranaga are great smokes too. All of those are good young too, for most CCs I wouldn't touch them for at least a year.

    Which non cuban cigar ages well

    Pretty much everything ages well, imo. Hell, try a Macanudo that has aged 8-10 years. I found one sitting on one of my shelves and said screw it, it was soooo creamy and nutty, I wouldn't have imagined it was a Macanudo at all. The difficulty is finding the sweet spot.

    Pete has generally been anti-current production cuban cigars...so this might be more of a slap in the face of the Behike(possibly the price) than an homage. Wonder what else will come from this brand, the name(meaning workshop) is intriguing to me.

    Cro Magnon Cigars??

    By the way, make sure you follow Skip on Twitter if you haven't already...he doesn't JUST talk about Cro Magnon cigars if you're worried about that, he smokes some great cigars and often shares pictures. He's a lot like following JD or PJ, definitely a must-follow guy.
