  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Nice review! How would the VI compare to the IV (assuming you have had both)? I have been wanting to try a cohiba and have been planning on the IV to be the first one I try... not the cheapest but not the most expensive and it seems to come highly recommended.

    Nice humidor! I've been thinking about doing something very similar here, also under the stairs... but I think coolerdors will probably be more efficient and less hassle? Too bad they wouldn't be worth showing off like a walkin... what would be really cool is if you put a glass door on there...

    I think it would depend alot on the area you live in. I could probably get away with it here, assuming I stayed down wind of everyone, but some places are so freaking uptight about smokers its sad. When I was at Blue Mountain, Ontario they seemed to be much more against it... walking around...

    Assuming I'm one of "you guys", personally I have not lived in Ireland, that was generations ago. I was implying that I am mostly Irish. Our family lived near Galway, before moving here as a result of the potato famine.

    Well sure enough it was the 50/50 solution. I added a tupperware dish of distilled water to the humidor apporox 1 hour ago and the humidity level is already 67%

    I used to use the analog one on the front but its a pain to calibrate (cheap) so thats for looks now... I have a new CaliberIII digital temp/hygrometer

    Unfortunatly no its not, I have had it for over a year but never really used it (funny how that works).... the only cigars I had in it were gone soon enough I just assumed the humidifer was doing its thing and never watched the levels.... but now I'm really getting into this so...

    For good measure I just taped all around the lid so there is no possible leak.... if it STILL stays at 60% would it be stupid to think its bad solution?
