• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What Did You Get For Christmas???

Nice gift, got one last year. Not bad for those calm nights in the early spring or fall. Any wind and they're useless outdoors. If you can rig up some sort of windscreen these things are tits but they eat up propane like crazy. Perfect for gazebos or screened in patios.

Home Defense Shotgun (or rifle?) on a shoestring

Ditto this, my NEF 18 1/2" is awesome. Basically the same gun as the 870, parts are pretty much the same but better material. Great price too. If you remove the plug and and the plastic spring holder from the tube you have a 6+1. All of the upgrades for the 870 will fit this weapon without mods...

What Did You Get For Christmas???

This year was a good one for me! My daughter got me 2 new cook books, "The Homesick Texan Cookbook" and "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day". My son got me a new pressure cooker and my wife totally killed me with a sweet panini press and an 8 piece Henckel set of knives.

Infusing your own cigars ... how to or how not to?

I remember a while back when I wanted to keep some herbs from drying out I put the baggie in my desktop which had some cigars in it and within a week the cigars had picked up the smell, not so much the taste.

Welcome aboard, always a pleasure having company people around. Keep your skin thick and remember sometimes a grain of salt helps when reading a post. Have yet to try a Black Market but the Prensado, Family Blend and the Tempus have all found a home in my collection.

For what it's worth I'd ask the vendor to open and inspect the cigars before he ships the replacements. Maybe he has a storage problem that he's unaware of and by doing so you're helping him out. If the replacements are just as dried out I'd send JD a pm letting him know who the vendor is that's...
