• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Christopher Hitchens dies at 62

Not a fan nor do I agree with his philosophy of politics and faith but I do admire the hell out someone that has the conviction to defend them or to abandon them when he realizes that those ideals have become contrary to his beliefs. Hitchens did both, we could use more people in the world like...

    Food for thought

Back on topic, considering how hard the anti tobacco nazis have been pushing their agenda I don't think the naming of cigars plays into it as much as the "author" might want us to believe.

    Christmas miracle.

Scary stuff, glad he's OK. I had a chihuahua once bit through a lamp cord, he came out fine but was shaking like a leaf and soaking wet. Scared the hell out of us.

Quick question for fantasy football owners

Looking back at your draft picks how many of them do you still own and how many do you start. Out of my 16 draft selections I have just 6 players remaining and only 4 that I start regularly. Just goes to show how important watching the waiver wire really is!

What did we think of Tebow?

As an Irish fan I'd love to see Quinn get a shot but I'd have better luck staying dry while pissing into the wind.

What did we think of Tebow?

Chicago had plenty of time to prepare, and isn't Rex Ryan supposed to be the guru of defenses? If you noticed the Broncos have been adjusting as well adding a little conventional offensive schemes into the mix. As long as the defense keeps playing the way they have they'll continue to win. Yeah...

    Bass Boat

Yeah I know it's old but it's a classic. A good old Georgia boy won a bass boat in a raffle drawing. He brought it home and his wife looks at him and says, "What you gonna do with that. There ain't no water deep enough to float a boat within 100 miles of here." He says, "I won it and I'm...

Not sure about the silicone, you might want to get an expert opinion before using it. The stink coming from that stuff while it cures is nasty! Maybe aquarium silicone.

What did we think of Tebow?

"I think my teammates make me look a lot better than I am. ..." - Tim Tebow Maybe so but it's Tebow that makes his teammates believe. What a great role model. I'm a huge Jets fan and not only did I find myself pulling for him against them, I didn't watch one minute of the Jets game last week...

JLP La Cremas when they're not plugged at about a buck a stick is the perfect short smoke/yard gar for me. Problem is I've found that about 4 in 10 are tough draws and every so often you get a really soapy one.

    Daily thought

I had a Pioneer QX-747 Quadrophonic amp, an AR-XP belt driven turntable with Ortofon cartridge, an Akai reel to reel, Marantz 8-Track recorder and a Nakamichi cassette deck driving four AR-10 speakers. My first car was a hand me down 1967 GTO and I loved my Converse All Stars. I smoked Winston...
