  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    FWIW greycliff makes some killer smokes. problem is, the bahamian tax base SUCKS. BADLY. so their premium stuff is just stupid expensve. also they have some cotract brands that have... maybe gottne away from them is the best term? leon, if you dig greycliff, most of them should still well...

    sometimes the gig sucks, sometimes not so much: locked in my closet, doing month end paper, with a cuppa and a 7th reserva. keep getting hung up on the broadleaf, and forgetting how DAMN GOOD their sumatran wrapper is. o)

    i leave mine in for 24 hours minimum. it's too long, but with a little sanding it works, plus you KNOW it is sanitized by that point.

    looking nice so far, sir! a little patience and a fairly small tool kit can yield some solid results, and i hope they both turn out to be great smokers for you. and, yes, chimney is used to refer to that shape. or stack. or possibly both.

    so, kinda had to. rechristening the medico VFQ with some bayou morning. good draw but the flavors are a little thin, i'm thinking it needs breaking in a little. imma give it a few more bowls with the same mixture before i decide...
