• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Nothing beats a Padron

Again I am the odd one out here. Have only found 1 Padron I enjoy and have tried most.

WhEn does the rg increase stop?

Large cigars were very common with the custom rollers in Havana so this has spread beyond just the US. In fact one of my favourite cigars of all time, Yolanda's laguito #2 she had stopped making as everyone wanted robusto or bigger. At the Conde Villa Neuva they had a cigar they called the Top...

    Cigars to try?

I really helps to know what you like. I think most on here would say that Padron Anni, tat 110, tenderloin, Rex, Liga and lots other well respected cigars. None of these work for me. I think the key is to figure out what you like.

Funny I have heard both you and Brooks say that a 52 rg cigar was one of if not the best cigar you have ever smoked.

What Ring Gauge do you prefer?

I gravitate towards 50 and smaller but if the cigar is good enough will smoke larger. This year I have smoked a lot of BHK 56's and a lot of maravillas. While not my preferred size they have been great do I keep smoking them.

I would put some big restrictions on what Brooks has said. I think he is probably right for smokers who have smoked over 5 years and actively search for more knowledge. Working in a B&M most of our long time smokers are robustos or bigger. Have at least one that has smoked a box of JDN magnums...

    Cutting the cap in advance

You just gotta go with more Nate. I think I took 25 sticks to Havana with me this year just to be safe. I like to smoke my own stuff there and buy to bring back.

    Your Gold Standard.

For me it would be PSD 4. Good cigar buy not the best. Great reliable cigar that is a good point to judge against.

    Opus X BBMF

The only Tat that would have a tough decision on whether to smoke it or the BBMF would be the OR Noella Reserva There are very few Tats that I like young. I think the biggest thing is the proven track record that opus has with how well it ages. While tats do age well it is not the same as Opus...

    Opus X BBMF

I have smoked a quite a few natural and Maduro and have conflicting thoughts. First I have never been disappointed by one. They are always special occasion cigars for me so I light kick back relax and visit and enjoy. All about the total experience for me. Now that said I have never smoked one...

    Wich one should I buy?

The more I think about this the more I think you will be limited more by what you can find with that date code then really having too much input on what it really is. With cabinet production quite low these days you may be stuck with you get what they give you.

Love the hoyo DC's. Unfortunately they were hit pretty hard in the bad years. 03's are my fav DC that you can still have a chance of finding and pre 98's have been good to me as well. I haven't smoked much newer production but am unsure how most of it will age with the newer hybrids they have...

now this is just plain, uh, weird.

Yes I think this here is the key. There will be sects within each religion that distort it and take their own view on things that the majority won't agree with. Pretty sure it exists within Christianity as well. I think the best way to deal with this is for the Muslims that don't agree with this...
