• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

yup, tim has helped with all the BotL releases. the first PDR release in '10 was from a shop he was at, and he helped it get off the ground. the DE '12 and '13, and the PDR '10 redux, we're all through podman cigars. also, they still have the PDR '10 redux, which is damn decent for the price.

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

    Toothy wrappers- any difference?

tooth on a wrapper is like good marbling on meat; it is not a deal breaker when it's not there, and it is not a sure thing when it IS there, but if it IS there and the people making it know what they are doing, it's almost assured it is going to be delicious! can't help it, my brain works on...

    silly pipe baccy question here

i think those suckers could survive a surprising amount of time without oxygen, truth be told. i think it has more to do with the processing. pipe tobacco is processed much more than cigar tobacco, and even the untopped selections are still usually cased in some way. if that process is harsh...

    Here I go, first time

the plate helps to gather the tobacco for loading, and also gives a platform for drying, if deemed necessary. also getting a lapful of shake or a mess o the carpet might bring back old memories for some. o) and don't worry about the rim! there is a reason you don't learn to drive in a...

Why would a retailer do this?

oh, i know, there are a lot of people who think giving up or rescinding liberties for safety is a good course of action. an unfortunate number of them, in fact.

Why would a retailer do this?

i think they have the first ammendment right to display and market their product any way they please. which is a shame, because free speech by nature HAS to protect even stupid speech, otherwise it isn't free. this might have been someone's idea of humor, but as a smoker in this day and age it...
