    Cigar under the faucet?!?!

Interesting topic. Even got Chuck to adequately participate! I was hesitant when I was told to try this. Seems very counterintuitive, but a lot of people take cigars out of Cuba's atmosphere and are adamant that storing at 60% is optimal... Nonetheless, I was sent some sticks from a friend...

    CCs: a primer

Luck is unnecessary Unlike yourself, I don't plan to pinch pennies and go cheap when building the lounge at my new place! It will be a Caribbean re-creation with perfect humidity, temp, and salty ocean air of Cuba with the sound of crashing waves and crashing metal suspension of 1950s Ford's. Pssh

    CCs: a primer

Or, Chuck, I've pretty much removed provincial factory coded cigars from my rotation and focused on the casa matriz concept Cass mentioned. The phrase "Monte 2 are just so inconsistent" is pretty contradictory. Is the Monte 2 inconsistent? Or are the factories that make them inconsistent...

    CCs: a primer

Just to be clear, not saying they don't won't or can't burn fine at lower rh. I've had many sticks burn flawlessly while sitting at 63ish. I just find more consistent success at the higher rh and more intensity on the flavor side And yes, slower burn naturally

Not to mention they ended up being CCE from El Laguito rolled in 09-10.... Here is just a PSD4 burning horribly at higher rh[emoji41] Nice and squishy

    CCs: a primer

You mentioned logic in your comment earlier. I can only speak to my experience with CCs since to me all other cigars are irrelevant. Cuba is widely considered 'a humidor' with people there not using humidification devices etc. One guy had found a bundle of Laguito #2 in his closet while I...
