    Is 65% too dry?

My humidor I got back in late summer will not ever go above 65% even with a 75% Boveda 320. I felt it was time to do something because I hate not being able to control whatever RH I want. I looked around the back half of lid near hinges and was seeing a 1/16” gap all the way around back half...

    Is 65% too dry?

I have had to go with a Boveda 75% 320 and wipe the inside down a couple times with wet cloth to get it to maintain 65%, I’m not sure if it’s just because of the drier Winter air or what

I have no doubt that the Monte’s are real but those Cohibas seem to be fakes

    Just scored these Cuban Montecristos

Also in the whole lot of cigars was this fine sealed box of 1996 Cuban Cohiba Esplindidos, however I’ve not acquired these “yet” because of the potential worth and cost, but they look to be in excellent condition.

    Just scored these Cuban Montecristos

So from the date code I looked up, it appears these may be made in December 1996. They are a bit dry and I’m trying to bring them back some, do you think they are good to smoke. I smoked one, the draw and burn was excellent but light in flavor, but that could be attributed to the mild cigar, I...

    Just scored these Cuban Montecristos

I just scored this box of Cuban Montecristo #4’s from a guy who’s dad passed away, they seem a little dry but I’m hoping I can bring them back. I only paid $50 for the sealed box of 25.

    Is 65% too dry?

So my humidor has seemed to stabilize at 63% with the 69% Boveda, I’m a little worried this is too low, should I bump it up to the 72 Boveda to get it above 65?

    Is 65% too dry?

Thanks guys, it’s always great to learn new perspectives. I’ve always thought 65% is the lowest It’d be safe to go but it’s nice to know my cigars are ok. I just started smoking and collecting back in June, and I have spent a lot of money and right now have about 50 cigars in my humidor and I...

I just put a Boveda 320 69% in my humidor the other day, but it is only coming up to 65%. I typically like my humidity to be 68-69%. My question is, according to veterans is 65% too dry?
