Don't feel alone Dave. The last cigar I got to smoke was about 2 weeks ago. Can't really find the time at work anymore, and by the time I have been getting home it has been to damn cold outside to sit for an hour and enjoy one.

Then again, just call me a pansy ass. I've got to get me a smoking room built where I can enjoy the hobby throughout the winter.

I hear ya. I wish I knew (re:afford) an electrician who could wire the room I have built. It's an outbuilding, and the power has a short somewhere. The walls are 1/2 inch plywood, and have 16penny nails every 4 inches apart. It's one tough building, and is going to be hell to get electricity back in there. Maybe just run some conduit around the perimiter, and have outlets attached to that. It doesn't have to be real fancy, just warm, and functional, with satellite tv, and and stereo. My poker table, and my desk. A workbench, and a leather couch. Oh, did I say it's a 10' X 15' room? *sigh* Maybe I'll build an addition on to it.

I hear ya Big Smoke. I've got a 10' x 20' builing that is full of stuff. I was going to try and clean it out and re-organize some things this summer or fall, which would leave me plenty of room to sit and enjoy a smoke. It is insulated and has elec to it, but with the deluge of rain we have had in the last several months I never got the chance to clean it out. I just wanted a place I could sit, smoke, and enjoy a good book. Maybe I will have the chance to get it cleaed out before the cold sets in to stay!

Have you tried setting up a fan in the window next to your smoking chair ? I do that and it works great as long as the window is on the lee side of the building that day.

As far as my building goes the ventilation is not a problem. The only problem right now is the clutter that needs to be cleaned out and what is left, organized and clean up.

As far as the house goes, the S/O doesn't want any smoking in the house. Therefore I don't, not even with a fan helping to evacuate the smoke. That does work pretty good though as I have done it in the past. She says she can still smell the cigar smoke for quite awile after though. Oh well just call me whipped I guess.

That's definately a concern in the Northern states!

I'm one of the Lucky Ones. I smoke in the house. Only the computer room, altho lately, It's anywhere. I've always made a point of cleaning up and "Freshening the area" and I'm very respectfull of Company and Children. Ya really have to be.

It would be nuthin but Clubs and PC's, maybe a Mini Robusto if I could only smoke outside. You Brothers that Tough it out Have my Respect! :!:

We also have a few Cigar Friendly Clubs.

What about the rest of Ya?

House, Room, Garage, Yard, Outbuilding or Off Property!?
C'mon Which is it?

I love to sit in the back yard and enjoy the view in nice weather. When it gets cold I am a shop smoker, I work on my woodworking projects and enjoy a good smoke.

In the winter, I have an indoor smoking room. Big double fan in the window to get rid of the smoke and a high powered air cleaner to help with the odor.

In the summer, I like to sit outside on the deck.

If it's not too chilly I smoke outside. When it's colder I've got a detatched garage with my little workshop in the corner and a comfy chair there. It's not insulated or heated (yet) but it gets me out of the wind. I could smoke in the house but don't out of regard for another family members health. Also, I don't care too much for the odor of stale smoke in the house. I don't seem to be able to isolate it to my den.

Barely above the waterline.
I am lucky enough to smoke in the house. However, I really enjoy firing up the wood stove in the shop, lighting up a stick, and working on some project.

Sometimes in the winter, I just hop in the little truck, and putt down the country roads at 20 MPH. At least it's cheap. And I enjoy the countryside.
A cop stopped me once, wondering why I was driving so slowly, but a simple explanation sufficed. I offered him a cigar, but he didn't smoke. :(

Lucky enough to live where it never gets all that cold (contrary to all the glove, scarf, fur wearing dopes out there) I can pretty much smoke year round. I don't smoke in the house and probably wouldn't even IF the SO wouldn't kill me if I did. I prefer to leave the stale smoke smell outside. Wouldn't mind having enough money to have a smoking room that had monster ventilation though...but thems just crazy dreams. :)

I've been sick for the past few days and unable to enjoy a nice cigar. I did get a Mag 46 in last Friday when I was at the casino playing poker. They have a nice bar/lounge area to have a relaxing smoke.

Started feeling bad Friday night and just went to see the Doc today. He said I have an upper respatory infection, not good. Hopefully, I'll be 100% by Friday, as I'm going to "The Deck" in SoCal this weekend.
