Love it, but has to be a sandblast. To make it more unique, what if it had a bit of a cutty influence?

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This could be an interesting bowl shape for an anse,,, maybe a thick horn or antler stem inlay? Thats f-ing rustic Hatfield and McCoy crap right there.

I like both shapes, not as familiar with the cutty will have to search for some pics, and I think it's as American as your gonna get since I'm a wv redneck and all
Can't ever go wrong with a classic billiard shape.
Another shape that was oddly intriguing was the hawkbill. Someone with talent could do some unique stuff with it. Clint needs to start the poll and be done with the tease.

I'm becoming a fan of bents more and more. This guy is quickly becoming on of my favorites. Perhaps we could find a way to incorporate the devils anse into a bent? Or come up with a really cool original bent design? Just a thought.

Yeah, got three on board. Just needed to see if the group was open to the plan.
I'm not wedded to any particular shape. I do generally prefer a bent pipe of some sort. I don't want to hold back a talented pipe maker by demanding a specific shape. A pipe of any shape can be beautiful and functional at the same time when crafted by a talented and skilled person.
Just don't get too artsy fartsy with the shape. Also, the pipe must be of a shape that can be duplicated for a batch of what might two to three dozen pipes in a reasonable amount of time.
That said, I think a Devil Anse or an Oom Paul would cool because they aren't that common of shapes.

I agree I think I would like to see something outside of a classic billiard, not crazy maybe just not your standard everyday shape
