  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

2nd Annual Socal Beach Herf.

I would love to get there early. I got a tee time in Glendale in the late afternoon. Let's get a head count of who's gonna be there early and what time :)
Dude. This is SoCal. We are not that organized. But I can tell you that we usually stay until they throw us out or we run outta wood.

There was wood left over last time. I went back down in the morning to get my car, and The coals were still hot. I added some wood and in no time I had a little fire going to watch the early morning waves by. I had another smoke with a homeless guy,who kindly offered me a beer at 6 am. good times

HAHA, sounds good. I'll probably be there around 7AMish, gotta jet at noon :-(
There should be at least 4-5 of us there by 7:30.

if you have an ez up please bring it. Any other shade would be good too. Who had horse shoes last year. Those and any other toys would be good as well. IF YOU ARE GONNA SPONGE OR BODY SURF, BRING FINS. ALISO IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO SWIM WITH OUT FINS. JUST ASK STEVE..HEHE

I think gills would help more than fins. I had the horse shoes. I'll bring those and an easy up and some wood among other things. But no spare box of Monsters this year.

I need a bag of matchlight charcoal for tomorrow. I am not in a condition to drive tonight and it's the only thing I forgot. Nothing will be open tomorrow at 5:30 when I leave the house and I'll be at the beach all day. For the first person to reply they can bring it, I will let pick any cigar left in my humi when they get there. Trust me it will be worth your while.

If the store is open, I will pick some up. Just got back from the store a few minutes ago. Booze run... DAMN!! Will a gallon of gas work? LOL:devilhead

I will also bring my extra swim fins (2 pairs) for guys who want to get in the water. One pair is L (9-11) and the second pair are XL's (11-13). I will also be bring an extra bodyboard as well.

Unfortunately, we will be leaving around 2pm -3pm. One of my guest has be work that evening.

Jason, you are going to have the same problem I'm having. Unless you know of a 24 hour store then you're outta luck. Jeff said if no one has said for sure they can grab it by morning then he will do it. But I assure you there are a couple of things in my humi worth the while

I read that on surfline earlier... "3-4 at exposed beach breaks". For those of you in English, that means "solid ass whipping". Gotta love it. No leashes tomorrow, and the fat guys will roll. Both of my sticks are double stringer crescent tail barrel killers. If there are any BOTL's under 5'7, I can bring my kids 40 inch board. Let me know, I will check the board before I leave in the morning.

I'm still packing and drinking. Boards, booze, sticks, and chairs are already in the Xterra. Now I'm pulling out a towel and my 3/2 full suit. Don't think I will need it, but I'm a heavy packer....you never know.

If will bring my laptop if anybody wants to post and post pics.

Come out early guys!!!

Jason

Coffee. Need coffee. Leaving about 9. Picking up burgers and buns. Jeff let Dave know if you beat me there. Sounds like some of the guys are bailing waaaaay early. Shame.
