This may well be my new favorite daily cigar! Packaged in a super nice cedar box with 1/2" thick sides. The cigars are cedar sleeved and look like they should cost $20 a stick.
Right off the bat a nice nutty flavor. No bitterness at all. A few puffs later and a complex mix of coffee and cocoa flavors abound. The smoke is strangely pleasant in my office (not nose burning at all). Trying to discern the scents of the smoke I keep thinking of maple, toasted nuts and something baking in an oven.
At the end of the first third it's getting a tad sweeter, still zero bitterness. Usually by now my palate has some sign of bitter, lingering after taste from smoking to aggressively but not with this cigar.:smokingco
The second third it cooled off a bit so I tapped the long ash off and gave it a boost with another match and the toasty flavors and scents reappeared once again. This is the best smelling cigar I've ever smoked! A slight coffee after taste is developing on my tongue but it's not bitter...just lip smacking good.
The final third has me thinking that a nice pint of stout would really compliment this cigar...it's 10:30 am and I'm now craving a beer!:bottle: This stick is slow burning...solid 45 minutes or more to get to the band. I'm unsure if it was over humidified from the shop but it burns slow. Long draws on the last third haven't burned my mouth. I'm suspecting a month in the humidor will make this an unbelievably good smoke.
I will be buying more of these...at $62 a box they are a STEAL!
