Also, buying cigars at the Duty Free Shop could be a task because the main duty free store has less choices than the one at the International Airport in terms of cigars not made in the Philippines.

You can also get the Philippine-made cigars like Don Juan Urquijos or La Flor de Isabela also at the Duty Free Shop. If you plan to get this, it would be better to have your sis-in-law buy this prior to leaving. The Philippines climate can be hot and humid and can ruin the cigar if not stored properly.

All the best

Good info Gene!
Thanks Todd!!

So Boris, you choice. habanos or non habanos.

HABANOS
Duty Free is the best place to get the non habanos as they are directly from the company that distributes habanos in the Philippines (Tabac Philippines). No LCDH
More choices in the airport than in the main duty free store - which is beside the airport. Mostly Partagas, cohibas and montecristos. None of the lesser known brands like Por Larranaga or Juan Lopezes are available.

If you are familiar with the brands. You can ask your sister in law to text message your cellphone once she is in the store. She can say what the store has at present. If she is from the Philippines chances are, she is familiar with text messaging as everyone from there know or are learning how to.

NON HABANOS
Can be bought from any department store like SM or even also in DFS (Duty Free Store)
