I've always wanted to try this. This and the Luther Vandross. A bacon-cheeseburger with glazed or jelly donuts in place of the bun.

Soak the planks for awhile especially if they are thinner ones. Wether gas or Coal try to get some indirect heat going or you'll be dealing w alot of flare up from all the pork grease.

It was delicious, cooked it at 225 or so in the grill on planks for about 2hrs..

That looks awesome! If you want, you should be able to turn your charcoal grill into a smoker. I did that to smoke some ribs. Put charcoal in the bottom on one side of the grill, and put a foil drip pan on the other side. Then, put your cooking grate on, and put a pan of water above the lit coals and the meat above the drip pan.

It was a lot better than what I expected. At first I was a little nervous with the amount of bacon but it turns out that one pound actually wasn't enough!
