Bacon Explosion

Oh Dear Lord!

I made one last night with chorizo and plain pork sausage. Cut a french loaf into 1/2 inch slices and spread pineapple chutney on the bread. Served the pinwheel hot and bread cold.

It must have been a hit because I was asked to make 2 more for tonight!

The ones I am making tonight have 1 hot loaf with a chile rub and the other is more of a one. I cooked a pound of bacon and tossed in a 1/4 cup of maple syrup at the end. Bacon, sausage and maple syrup.

You have to remember that these are being made for a party of 20 people. IF someone was to eat too much of this, I'm sure it would cause some damage, but as it is I'm sure that the finger sammich will probably have the same digits as a cheese burger.

I had some pretty good ribs tonight for dinner......after seeing the pictures I realize now that my dinner actually sucked because it wasn't anything like that.

It was tasty. I snapped 1 picture when they went on the grill, so i'll post it tomorrow.

All in all, both logs went fast. I was trying to comfort the 5 y/o (bad day & no nap for either of us) so I was able to get a couple before they were gone.

Only difference tonight was I made a pineapple salsa for a spread.
