Sam Adams Griffins Bow, a pretty good Barley Wine ale. It's rather sweet but as it warms develops a really nice character; one of it's flavors reminds me of pineapple, yum!

Oooh. I'm gonna have to find some of that. I'm a sucker for anything Sam Adams being from the Northeast.

Had a BOTL O Beer brewed by our own mthhurley, from smonkinghole's recipe. Very good stuff!

Drinking a Great Divide 16th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA now....even after a year, still a great beer!

I liked the Griffin's bow... and think it should age nicely. The other beers in that line though havent been nearly as good unfortunately. Gonna throw some stuff in the firdge for today, but havent decided what yet. Randomly stopped in arelatively large shop yesterday and they had Black Butte XXIII on the shelf. I asked them about it and they said they had ordered abyss and this is what got sent....they were still hoping for some abyss though. Lol! Rumokin finally hit the shelves here in Texas, so that has been exciting and Im going to crack one of those open soon. To top it all off they just put in a flying saucer about a mile away from where I live, so the universe is trying to get me to become an alcoholic Im convinced!

Founders CBS.

Nice pickup. I couldn't find any here in Central WI. This was a very highly sought after beer. Hopefully now that Founder's has expanded their brewery and capacity there will be more made next year and I will be able to find some.

What do you think of that Pork Slap? I had some and unless I got old beer it tasted like something I wouldn't really even cook with.....
To each their own.

You are right, I bought one of their toher styles a year or so ago and it was foul.

Ratebeer gives the pork slap a score for style 17 and overall a 22, so its pretty nasty. These scores are on a scale of 100!

yet another Abita Andygator! I love these things!
So good fresh! It was mind blowing how good it was fresh when I took the Abita tour this summer. You can never tell how long these have sat before you pick one up.
