I remember when Grolsch used those swing style flip stoppers for caps.

How was it?
My new Kölsch addiction has me wondering.

I'm not a Kölsch drinker (much lighter than my usual choices), but this was good.
Light, crisp with a yeasty aroma, which is all welcome.
I've had two different Kölsch selections at this place.
I get a defined pear taste with every swig. Is this expected with a Kölsch?

I've never really noticed pear, but I'll pay a bit more attention today when I have one. Makes sense though.
Seems like a cross between a lager and a pilsner, with something else going on.
Theres just something different about the Kolsch that I can't put my finger on, but I know I love em.

It is different, and I too can't put my finger on it.
An 'in between' thing also makes sense.
Almost like a watered down hazy with zero lees and crisp aftertaste.
