Some people I work with went to Delmonico's in Vegas during the IPCPR, and they weren't too impressed. The time I went to the SW at the Wynn my friends and I intended to go to Delmonico's, but was told there was two hour wait so we walked across the street.Baker Peters in Knoxville, TN is hard to beat...
Peter Luger in NY is incredible...
But the best steak I have ever eaten in my life was a bone in rib eye.. at Delmonico in New Orleans..
Something to be said for this for sure... I can go buy a very nice, very well aged, super premium cut of beef from my butcher... and have just as nice a meal in my home as I can at a steakhouse.. (if not better).. for less than half the price...I think I heard TravelingJ say it one time, that he absolutely refuses to pay for a mediocre overpriced steak, that he himself could perfect for a hell of a lot cheaper. Ever since then, my favorite steakhouse has been my place.
Tha is a place I need to try as well!Ill make it to Peter Lugers one day before I die.
Hopefully
