Bunnies!

Today was opening day for rabbits and squirrels. Went out at the asscrack of dawn to one of the small SWAs on the Platte. Luckily nobody else was there, and I bagged the only rabbit on the property!
It's sitting in salt water right now and I'll probably cook it up tomorrow!
Ducks open up on Saturday, too! It's going to be a great week!

Today was our deer opener for bow season. I'm at work, with a bum shoulder...... Congrats on the successful morning hunt. Need to get me some bunnies too.... I'm gonna sit here and pout.

wtg.. the shitty part about living in so cali to get any kind of decent hunting you need to drive like 6 hours.. that being said i think im heading out to the river this weekend to see what i can harvest

I did! I got two more today, and my girlfriend got so upset when I called them 'Thumpers'!

Boiled the one from yesterday for 2.5 hours, and it was so tender it was literally falling apart! Rabbits are one of my favorite animals to eat!

I used to cook rabbit and squirrel in my dorm room at NAU and feed the gang. Boiled in beer rabbit is great.

I lived in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan for 8 years and enjoyed some incredible hunting and fishing as a result. I have not had the same opportunities since and i truly miss it.
