I'm sure he can smell it once he puts it on, but then he gets used to it as the day goes on.

My sister in law is like this.

When she first buys a perfume she uses one or two sprays. Over time she gets used to the smell and no longer notices the scent from one or two sprays and puts more on.

There are a couple things she fails to realize.

1) The perfume is intended for the people around her to smell it, not her.
2) Even though she can't smell it anymore one or two sprays are still just as fragrant as it was when she started using it.

Instead she just keeps using more and more until it is borderline obnoxious.

Cologne/perfume etiquette is something many people don't know

This woman at work can be smelt so far away and her perfume lingers for a good five minutes after she leaves an area. At least it's good perfume but still.

Hell Tom, you've got nothing to be complaining about. At least she smells like perfume, and not stale vitamen E urine.
