I'm taking a cruise in May on the Carnival Freedom as well. I know the cigar policy (applies to pipes, too) sucks but I don't mind, if I smoke one every evening I'll septuple my typical input. Looking forward to meeting Havana Bob in Cozumel and getting some genuine Cuban cigars.
I'm headed back down to Coz for a couple weeks in May myself. Bob will take good care of you.

I miss being able to smoke a cigar on my balcony on a cruise. It really sucks that all the cruise lines have moved to almost no smoking of cigars/pipes allowed at all on the ships. You would think they could come up with a happy medium such as keep the balcony's on the rear end of the ship open for smoking or something like that.

Usually the open deck where people smoke are nice tho

Last cruise I went on there were a lot of angry cigarette smokers who hated the thick cigar smoke but they couldn’t say anything

Luckily now I will be traveling with two kids so I really won’t be too focused on cigars

The decks are ok but it was nice to lounge on your balcony smoking a cigar and relaxing. I would have breakfast delivered every morning and enjoy my breakfast on the balcony with a cigar. Same every night with a snack and a cup of tea before bed.

Agreed. Last cruise we went on they would bring us a glass to use as an ashtray. I think everyone smoked out there anyway. They kept announcing over the speakers to not smoke on the balconies. Our neighbors were both smoking cigarettes so I didnt have to worry about anyone calling in on us. After the stop at Belize the pot smell took over the balconies and no one said anything.

Cruises are definitely not a route that anti social people should take

Regardless of the smoking policy updates, cruises are always a blast
I'm antisocial AF however we had a blast sailing on the Freedom two years ago.

Didn't do the casino or some of the dance club stuff, but the comedy shows and adult only nights were very fun.

Just don't "look like a cop" in Montego Bay. The guy with the gallon size Ziploc bag of weed will call you out....

We have a room set for 2019 on the new Royal Caribbean ship that’s about to hit the fleet. Looks so nice and tons of stuff to do
If the ship you are cruising on is the Symphony of the Seas that should be a great cruise. I just looked at their website and that thing is a beast. Even if not this particular ship, Royal Caribbean is a great line and you have no other choice but to have a blast.
My wife and I are planning to go in fall/ winter 2019 but not quite sure which ship and itinerary yet.

Freedom is a great ship. One of our favorites. The sister ship Liberty of the Seas is nice too.

You guys are going to have me booking a cruise way before I should.
