I am a humble cruiser

I always see them as family trips first. Not many cigar smokers go on cruises, you will hardly catch them smoking during the day on the decks where the pools and bars are at. You will just see the random cigarette smokers who get away from their families for a few minutes to get a cigarette fix. Usually the cigar smokers come out at night on the boats when most people are already done with the pools. The smoking areas are near bars so there will be a handful of smokers socializing quietly and smoking a cigar together.

There will always be a place to smoke on them tho

If you smoke like Bostoneo tho... i wouldn't recommend a cruise.

Either way, they're great for family trips.

A lot of good points in regards to smoking on the cruise ships.

Norwegian Breakaway had a small lounge with 8 chairs, constantly invaded by cigarette smokers. And Chuck’s right the vent’s couldn’t keep up with 2 people in there. One night I went in there to enjoy a cigar we opened the door to the deck to ventilate. It was horrible. Mind you cigarette smokers were there too until a bunch of people complained that it should be for cigar smokers only and that cigarette smokers have more freedom to smoke in more areas on board.

The Norwegian Dawn had a small cigar lounge which was nice. And us cigar smokers invaded that lounge all the time and kept out the cigarette smokers for the week we cruised. We also were allowed to smoke on the outside bars and decks.

Carnival allowed us to smoke on the outside decks and casino only. We were unable to smoke on our room balconies and I don’t remember having a cigar lounge on board.

Times have changed big time.

If you want to smoke, go to an all inclusive resort.

Hes not 55+ so he won't enjoy Cunard :)

Morning bro howudoing
quit bustin my balls goombah..
Lol...it's not for 55 and over...there were plenty of 25 - 50 because the Caribbean is for younger and physically fit folks. The food is outstanding..the cabins are great...the ship is 25% wider and the length is longer than most other ships. I'm telling you its 100% better than Carnival...and for 13 nights Carnival can't touch the pricing.

The main reason that Cigars were targeted was because of the chronic complaints from consumers...and get this...50% was from cigarette smokers! They shut down a lot of cigar lounges but barely touched the areas for cigarettes... hypocrisy at it's finest.

The boat we went on had a "Havana Bar"....no cigars!!! It was like a coffee lounge.

Went on a royal cruise around the Caribbean 2 or 3 years ago and had no issues smoking cigars in the designated area by the main pool deck. Didn’t even get swarmed by cigarette smokers.
Same here, even had a cigar bar. This cruise nothing but a few tubos on the gift shop counter and 1 cigar smoking section on the whole boat. You couldn't even smoke cigarettes by the pool anymore.

Was just at a Jimmy Buffett concert and some c*#% came up to me smoking a cigarette and started blabing about how cigars are so much worse than cigarettes and I needed to put it out. I asked her for 25$ and she just walked away.
I can't for the life of me understand this logic. Everyone I know - cigarette smokers included - will tell you that cigarettes smell so much worse than cigars. So why would you ban cigars but let cigarette smokers have free reign? And I don't want to hear that cigar smoke is thicker/heavier than cigarette smoke. When there are 20 cigarette smokers to every 1 cigar smoker, the smoke is easily on the same level, if not skewed towards the cigarette smoke volume.

Correct: my screen name there is @TacoBellEnglish

My destination is a Vegas Cruise

There is no single cigarette that costs $3.00+.

Chuck, you are right; but I won't admit it.

You are 100% right on this.

You are 100% right on this one, too.

I have no idea what your train of thought is on this one.

Thanks!

We did carivian and were on the enchantress boat about 4 years ago. Early may we could smoke anywhere outside on the rear of the ship. Everynight after 10 use go up and walk to running sky track and smoke a nightcap.

The cigar areas on Celebrity are open air at the stern of the boat. You will have a lot of cigarette smokers around you however, due to the open area you will never know they are there. With Celebrity the newer ships are the way to go due to the layout of the decks and some of the new Royal Caribbean ships are so big you will not even see half the passengers.
My wife and I are looking into going on the Liberty of the Seas or Freedom of the Seas in the fall of 2019.

You really can't go wrong with just about any cruise line. The best bang for your buck when it comes to vacations IMHO. You will be treated like royalty from the second you get on till the second you get off the boat.
