  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Damnit, I'm Thinking It's Mold

As Moro would say, "what say ye"?

The San Cristobal are on the top shelf of my humidor, usually between 66-69% and the Oliva are on the very bottom of the humidor which is usually around 65-68%.

As Moro would say: I believe ye've got mold...especially the Oliva. Are they San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe?

huh, weird. Not enough airflow?

They don't seem too far gone...maybe you can just wipe them off? I'd clean out he boxes they were in, though, that crap spreads fast.

You sure looks like bloom. I usually grab any cigar that looks like that. If it doesn't smell like mold smoke it, it may be great.
Looks like plume to me,,send to me overnight to make sure. lol

Bummer...that's a mold of some kind. Dust it off and smoke em.

On the bright side of things, smoking fungus might have side affects that you normally have to pay alot to get.:stretchgr

Not Plume, sorry bro, you caught it early though, as long as it isn't up into the foot it's likely an easy fix. is your humi temperature controled? Also for long term storage I'd recomend closer to 60% humidity, will avoid these problems.

The cabinet is not temp controlled although it's in the basement and never gets over 67 degrees or so in the humidor. I got everything wiped off and it should be fine. I'll keep a close eye on things for a few weeks to see what happens.
