  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Do you chew your sticks?

Not really chew but lets just say your cigar burns out and you are getting ready to drive somewhere and you really don't want to stink up the Corvette so you keep the unlit stick in your mouth and occasionally draw on it enjoying the flavor. Soon enough the end is getting moist and you find yourself nibbling and enjoying the taste. Does anyone else do this? Is this too unorthodox to even admit to?:dunno:

Later I cut the soggy tip off and relight the stick...in my opinion it tastes just as good as burning one all at once. :smokingme

I will chew on a lit cigar and the end gets pretty gross, but un-lit is out of my mouth pretty quick.

EDIT: Only happens If i'm working with my hands like in the garage or the yard.

I like knwing on a lit stick, but never tried the unlit deal.
Also depends on the cigar...Henry Clays are already oily, chewy, and misshapen right out of the box! Easy to mangle those a bit more...But a Saint Luis Rey Prominente? Hmmmmm....That's another story :)

I've got a friend who's father has gone through box of cigars a month for over 20 years. He's never lit a single one! He chews the end till it's soggy and bites it off like chew. :crosseyed

A good friend of mine chews on his cigars at a disgusting pace. What he has noticed and told me (as well as my observances) is that it increases his saliva output, which he in turns swallows and ends up throwing up half the time.

That was enough for me to avoid the chewing. I find that I like the tip of my cigar as dry as possible.

I don't chew on mine at all...heck, the cut end stays pretty much dry the entire time I smoke a stick.

My father-in-law on the other hand absolutely chews his up. Generally, an inch and a half of the end is a wet, soppy mess. He seems to enjoy them that way.

To each their own!

I'm guessing you don't smoke maduros. A burned out Padron Maduro tastes like a cafe'mocha latte. :tonguerol
