  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

El Triunfador has a huge marketing shadow behind it. Plus some member on the boards, hyping it up, I know i was not born yesterday and I'm sure I learned something in business class, if reading correct me wrong, "El Triunfador, will release more and more, when needed" a continuous flow until everyone hyped out person received a box?

Don't think there is any nefarious marketing plot at all. Pete has said on multiple occasions that he honestly doesn't know what he wants to do with the line and the release was simply a move to protect the trademark (a trademark has to be used to be maintained).

I have no reason to not take Pete at his word.

Regardless of any marketing hype, I prefer the flavor of the El Triunfador myself.

Nothing against the La Riqueza, because I love them too, but the El Triunfador is right up my flavor preference alley.

The only person who can decide for YOU is...well, YOU! :)

Then why ask the question? Pete is a member. He has publically stated that he created the cigar to hold the name and that there will not be more of this marca. I hold him in high esteem as do many of the others here.

Members of this board tend to be honest and truthful about what they like and do not like. If you feel it is hype, don't buy it but you would be well advised to listen to what people say here about cigars. You may learn something.

"Never had a Tri"... Blasphemy!

The La Riq No. 2 is my favorite of that line, and the El Tri is a great smoke. I'd have to agree with the "whatever you like" post(s).

Bottom line.. If Pete makes a stick, it sells. He doesn't need to resort to marketing gimmicks and "hype". Why would he slowly sell off a small number of cigars rather than supplying the current demand and raking in the dough. From the limited conversations I have had with him I would say that it is because he loves cigars and their traditions and would not play games with his customers. If Pete says it is a limited production I believe him 100% until i see proof of the contrary.

I can see the smooches that Mr. Johnson receives from this board. It's all good if I were looking for a debate, even though I am one person and even with my own unique taste, I have never been the one to go "baa" "baa"; but I can see many around here may. Its good. I smoked 4 today and I have to say, they are definitely not ready to be smoked. 21 stick will sit in the humidor, until they are ripe. Only time can tell, and If I still do not enjoy them, they'll make lovely gifts  for some of your folks on this board.
