BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I also agree that they're fresh. I think mine were still a bit moist as they were somewhat spongey. I'll leave them sit for 3-4 more months and pull one out again I did enjoy it but thought it would be much better a bit drier.

if you like the way it tastes, what difference does it make how you perceive it to be marketed? if it's good, it's good. or not.
i personally like the triunfador. not as crazy about the riqueza. if i could chose one that was in limited production, it would be the frank! it doesn't really matter to me what the marketing is. if i like it, i'll buy it and keep it. if it isn't my cup of tea, i'll sell or give them away.
but i will say that i will always try anything pete comes out with as i like his flavor profiles. if that makes me a sheep, then i wear my fleece proudly!

I'm not sure that suggesting that we are all sheep is the best way to ingratiate yourself with this community, if that is anything you are concerned about.

The frank, hands down my cigar of the year. Had to buy another box, after smoking just one.

That's a tough question, but it does boil down to tastes.
If you want to be able to enjoy the cigar without the guilt of not being to get another one, go for the Riqueza.
I personaly like most of Pete's cigars a bit dryer than other cigars, the flavor and strength come out better IMO. The La Riquezas are different though. I think they taste a little better 'wet'.

I had never heard of Pete Johnson or Tatuaje until I came to these boards. But that is some excellent smoking right there. I have one La Riqueza in my humi but have never had an El Triunfador. With all the love Pete's stuff gets on these boards, I'll be attempting to try everything at some point.
It's not isolated to this board. Pete gets a lot of love all over. All well deserved in my opinion.

indyrob I know the El Triunfador is going to be good with time, and I am picking up the La Riqueza no 2 later this afternoon, I've enjoyed this cigar on many of occasion's. But the El Triunfador was very very wet. I know what your talking about though, the slightly wet, does produce a cooler smoke (Havana Cazadores).

It is indeed not a wise move, mate. The fact that several like them doesn't mean we're all sheep; just that the cigar pleases the palate of several brothers here. Respect toward others' opinion is good as well.
I will not be making these until summer or fall next year. One release a year to protect the mark. I have many other brands that I need to concentrate on before i concentrate on El Triunfador and move forward with "bullshit" marketing.......

Thanks, Pete. At the risk of stating the obvious, I think you know the "bullshit" marketing comment is not a widely held view. Most everyone around these parts seems to be a pretty big fan.
