I got a couple bundles of each and were interested in what the differences were between the 2008 and 2010 tobacco. I asked Pete, and he said he feels the 2010s are spicier, and you can taste it on your lips on the cold draw.

I'll take his word for it - I still haven't opened up the bundles. They're so purrdyyy:grin:

With the OGs, I always found the #1 to be a bit sweeter and smoother, the #3 to be spicier and stronger. Which one I want depends on the day, but they're basically tied for my top cigar of all time.

As far as comparisons--that's always really tough. In this case, if you were to smoke the '08 and '11 on consecutive days (which I plan to do very soon!) you'll find the OG to be incredibly smooth and the new one incredibly spicy. The flavor is likely similar, though I'd expect the flavor of the OG to be richer at this stage because the new ones are just so fresh.

I really look forward to seeing this new batch change over time.

I've had 2 ELO1's so far (from the recent release from NHC)...Man, very strong!

Nice though, just need a meal beforehand. The wrappers are really nice...Oily and dark.

I don't know where a better deal can be found on a quality Tat
